It has always been a problem, archiving data. Before, when my parents are still in the business, they do it manually. However, since it would be a joke if we will not take advantage of technology, we do it the most high-tech way possible.
We started it in the main office. We bought the latest HP Storage product at the time. In all fairness, the job was indeed made easier, and the archiving is more neat and efficient. Human error was decreased to as low as zero. We were also able to cut fixed and salary expenses, since we do not need to buy numerous file cabinets and folders and pay employees who are specifically tasked to do the filing. It was a very revolutionary move made by our company.
However, since technology is as constant as change, some of branches are now using a more up-to-date storage facility. They are actually presently using HP BladeSystem storage blades, which are said to be designed to give virtually unlimited storage capacity.
Our goal is to have all our branches to use HP storage technologies, so we will have cleaner data files, for future use.
